Terms of use
Plain English, no filler. If anything here is unclear, email me and I will explain it.
On this page
1. Who runs this website
This website is run by Aaron Michael, a sole trader in the United Kingdom trading as AFB Digital Solutions. I am not a limited company. You can reach me at hello@afbdigitalsolutions.co.uk or on 07951 302861.
By using this website you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use it.
2. What this website is, and what it is not
It describes the work I do and what it usually costs. It is information, not an offer capable of being accepted, and nothing on it forms a contract between us.
A contract exists only when I have sent you a written scope and price for your specific job and you have agreed to it. Until that point nothing here binds either of us.
3. Prices shown on this site
Prices are shown as starting figures, written as “from”. They are what a straightforward job of that kind has cost recently. They are not quotes.
What your job costs depends on what it involves, and I will tell you the number in writing before I start rather than at the end. If a published starting price turns out not to fit your job, I will say so and explain why.
Prices on this site may change without notice. A price I have quoted you in writing does not change, and is valid for the period stated on the quote.
4. The work shown in the portfolio
The case studies describe real projects. Where a figure is given, for example a change in clicks or rankings, it is taken from the client’s own analytics or Search Console for the period stated.
Those figures are what happened on that site, in that market, at that time. They are not a prediction and they are not a promise about your site. Anybody in this industry who promises you a specific ranking or a specific percentage is guessing, and I am not going to.
The websites, logos, product photography and brand names shown belong to the clients concerned, not to me. They appear here to illustrate work I did, and nothing on this site suggests those businesses endorse or are otherwise connected to my current services.
5. Using this website
You may look at it, print pages from it and share links to it. That is what it is for.
Please do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, interfere with how it works, use it to distribute anything malicious, or scrape it in a way that affects its availability for anybody else. Automated collection of the contact details on this site for the purpose of sending marketing is not permitted.
6. Content and copyright
The writing, design, code and photography on this site are mine or licensed to me, except for the client material described in section 4. You may quote short extracts with a link back. You may not republish the whole of any page, or use the material commercially, without asking me first.
7. Links to other websites
This site links to a small number of other places, including the clients whose work is shown and the booking page where you can arrange a call. I do not control those sites and I am not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.
Booking a call takes you to Google Calendar. Once you are there, Google’s own terms and privacy policy apply to what you do.
8. Availability
I try to keep this site up and working, but I do not guarantee it will always be available or free of errors. I may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it without notice. It is a website belonging to one person, not a service you are paying for.
9. My liability to you
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes my liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Subject to that, I am not liable for any loss that arises from your use of this website, including any decision you take on the basis of information published here. If you want advice you can rely on for your own site, ask me and I will give it to you in writing for your situation.
If you are using this site in the course of a business, I am not liable for loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of anticipated savings.
10. Which law applies
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
11. Changes to these terms
I may update these terms. The date at the top of this page says when they last changed. Using the site after a change means you accept the updated version.
