Designed from a blank page
Not a template with your logo dropped in. The layout comes from what your business actually needs to say, in the order somebody needs to hear it.
Web design
Bespoke WordPress and Shopify builds for St Helens businesses. Built to be edited by you, and to still work properly in three years.
The problem
Most small business websites round here were built once, by somebody who has since moved on, on a template that has not been updated since. They look acceptable and they bring in nothing.
The two usual reasons are that nobody ever set them up to be found, and that changing anything means ringing a developer, so nothing ever gets changed.
A site you can edit yourself is not a nice extra. It is the difference between a site that reflects what you do now and one that describes what you did three years ago.
Every site I build is handed over with the logins in your name and a walkthrough of the parts you will actually touch.
What I do here
Not a template with your logo dropped in. The layout comes from what your business actually needs to say, in the order somebody needs to hear it.
Every word, image and section is a field in the admin. No page builder, because that is what makes a site slow and impossible to change later.
The search work is done during the build rather than sold to you afterwards as a separate job.
Logins in your name, hosting on your account, and a walkthrough of the parts you will touch. Nothing is held hostage.

Common questions
No, and most of my clients are not on my doorstep.
The work happens the same way wherever you are: a written scope, a staging link from week one, and calls when they are useful. Being nearby means we can meet if you want to, and that is genuinely easier for some jobs.
It is not a reason to pick me on its own.
Yes, and it is built that way on purpose.
Every bit of copy, every image and every section is a field in the admin, not something buried in code. You get a walkthrough of the parts you will actually touch at handover.
What you will not get is a page builder, because those are what make a site slow and impossible to change properly two years later.
From £2,500 for a bespoke build, and the number depends on how many different kinds of page it needs rather than how many pages there are.
Ten pages that are all the same shape is a small job. Four pages that are all different is a bigger one.
You get a fixed price in writing before anything is built, and if the scope changes you see the new number before I start, not on the invoice.
Four to eight weeks for most small business sites, and the thing that decides it is usually content rather than code.
If your copy and photography are ready it moves quickly. If they are not, that is the bit that takes the time, and I would rather say so at the start than let it drift.
You see it on a staging link from the first week either way.
What clients say
The level of detail and commitment Aaron brings is unmatched. From SEO to design, everything was delivered with precision and care. Our online visibility has never been better.
Aaron’s work speaks volumes. From start to finish he understood our brand and vision. The end result was a powerful, sleek website that truly reflects who we are.
Aaron built the site from scratch and it was the first time the brand actually looked like us online. He handled the design and the build end to end, and I could update it myself afterwards without going back to him every time.
We use Aaron for development we would rather not hand to a junior. The work comes back the way it was specced, on the date he said, and it goes out under our name without us having to check it twice.
Aaron set up the shop and the tracking, and explained what was worth doing and what was not. He was straight about where the money was better spent, which is not what you usually get.
Book a call and I will look at what you have now and tell you whether it needs rebuilding or just fixing.
